FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- What is the difference between a closed and an open loop system?
- In a closed loop system, a heat transfer liquid runs between the
collectors and a jacket that sorrounds the hot water tank thereby
transfering its heat. In an open loop system the same water that runs
through the collectors is stored and circulated.
-
- How many years of warranty do you give your customers?
- Ouraset systems come with a 5 years guarantee.
-
- How does the system avoid freezing?
- Closed-loop system is a double-walled tank. The heat-transfer liquid flows through the collectors and the outer section of the tank. Heat-transfer liquid is a liquid resistant to freezing.
-
- Do I have to place the system on the roof?
- No, not necessarily. Pressurized systems can be placed anywhere close to your apartment; in the garden, on the garage, etc.
-
- Does the system require a pump?
- Not necessarily. Most domestic solar hot water systems do not use pumps. Pump is mandatory for larger projects or when back-up system is used. ( http://www.ouraset.com/ensisinfo.htm )
-
- Does your system have an anode inside the tank?
- Yes, it has.
-
- Does your system have a back-up?
- All systems have a room for the electrical element as a back-up. In this way they are a year-round solution to water heating.
-
- Can I meet 100% of my hot water requirements by solar energy?
- No. Asset systems typically meet 60% to 85% of hot water requirements depending on the climatic conditions of the region where it is installed.
-
- Do you supply manuals for installation, common
faults, maintenance etc?
- Yes. System installation manuals are available on our website, too.
-
- Do you provide training for your distributors?
- Yes we do.
-
- Do you also manufacture stainless steel tanks?
- Yes we do.
