Çukurova
(CILICIAN) Plain
and founded over the delta of the
Seyhan
and
Ceyhan
Rivers,
Turkey' s fourth largest city, ADANA is the
center of the rich agricultural region and thriving industry.

Adana
shows all feautures of the Mediterrenan climate. Summers are
dry and very hot and winters are wet but mild. The long
insolation values of the region has given way to the early
beginning and development of the solar thermal industry. The
city surprises all visitors by the tens of thousands of flat
plate collectors occupying every single house’s roof-top.
-
-
It has one of the warmest climates
in Turkey. Situated 40 km. to the north of the Mediterrenan
sea, Adana is 60 km.’s to the east of the neighbouring city of
Mersin which has the busiest commercial port in the Turkish
Mediterenean.
